HOKAY. How would you recommend I use the original fans to cool an xbox 360 the best? I want to put an extra fan in a customers 360, but its difficult to fit the original ones anywhere. I cut them in half, and I can wire them, but I have no idea as to where to put them. I figured Id help out this forum because I like it better BTW 20 people registered.

well in reality the stock fans need to stay in place and more fans be put in. Or atleast some whispers in the place of the stocks.

haha yea I know. They're the original fans out of my box, which has whispers in it. I just realized how bad I worded that question. Using an extra set of original fans, how could I cool the xbox additionally

ahh. Cut them apart, extend the wires. Install one on the bottom grate blowing in and one in front of the cpu heat sink blowing back.

Okay. That sounds good. I think I might have to flatten a few capacitors to fit it behind the cpu heatsink though. The fan is pretty big.

A 12v 40mm fan at Rad shack. Just an idea, dont know how good it is.

Have you guys ever looked into Nyko's new TS intercooler? Its not like the old one,has a temperture sensor and its own power suppy. When you shut your console down it will still run to exhaust the heat that is still baking it for about a minute.

Sams club has a really nice kit too! You get a 7ft HDMI cable,TS intercooler and twin charging station for $60 bucks.

I fixed 7 360's with various errors with just the xclamp replacement and putting silicone rubber pads in place of the thermal pads on the ram chips. Almost of these people bought the TS intercooler except for one, thats the one I had to redo again. All the others are going strong 6 months+. I just got a reflow kit which I think will offer an even stronger fix.

thats a little bigger than a 40mm.

it would work, but i and others prefer 40mm fans, usually they have a higher CFM. Plus who buys from radioshack anymore?

The specs said 1.57x1.57=40mmx40mm, edited that in my post above.
