Why don't you just use a strip board/veroboard?

That's what I'm going to have to do for now, but it makes it about twice as big as it would be with an etched board.

I'll get exact dimensions after I actually assemble it all, but I'm thinking about 1.5" x 2.5" vs less than 1" x 1.5" with the PCB.

That's not huge. Any chance of a list of all the components, and I might go buy some?

I just sent the board layout to SR2K, but someone should check it because I've never actually made it and it could possibly be wrong. I've used the same schematic on a protoboard with different relays so I think it should be fine, but someone should look over it. And also, what happens if the fans are connected to 5V while the console is on? Because if you turn the console back on before this circuit times out then the fans will still be connected to 5V.

gotem, The only thing that worries me is how thin the traces are they could be susceptible to burning out.

I can send you another with thicker traces in a few minutes Edit: Isn't it only the OUT lines that will carry any significant current? So could you run over those with a sharpie and make them thicker?

IDK, I generally make voltage transformers so those traces just look tiny to me.

I'm pretty sure 1/16" to 1/32" is fine for signal traces, but still make those OUT lines bigger if you think of it.
