im thinking about painting my controller a racing stripe design. i have done this before and it turns out great. but this time i want to make the stripes blue and then the the rest white. I have bought a plain white controller and i was wondering, do i have to paint the base coat white if it is already white? and then just mask off the stripes and paint the rest? i want it to look like this

no the easiest way would be to mask off your white then prime your blue stripes with a plastic primer from krylon fusion let it dry then paint your blue then clear coats and done
